The story of Eden Rippit
A one-time deity in several states, Eden Rippit assumed a revered place in Coaster folklore. He would become known across the lands as a wise, though lightly chilled, guru sharing love, reflection and deep meditation among his disciples. Hardly a cult leader...more an exclusive cult figure, Eden Rippit grew with his Coaster grasshoppers as they fed ravenously from each other. Eden Rippit was the all magical Sorcerer of dirty grooves and funky riffs and in recognition of this inalienable truth, Coaster came bearing gifts from nature - the wonderful fruits of the Earth.
As Eden grew older, he bestowed more independence upon his funked up grasshoppers, who were now green and fully grown. They were now ready to take flight. No longer would they camouflage into a world seemingly out of touch with the eternal wisdom of Eden Rippit.
Now, with their enhanced powers of love and funksmanship, Coaster is ALIVE!!!!

Dear Coaster
I am a 19 year old from Melbourne. Oh no, here come the aliens. Hmm, Goody, Goody, Yum, Yum. Umm, what was I saying? Oh yes, my son is not a communist. He may be loud, rude, piggish, a communist but he is NOT a porn star. So, send my regards to Eden, him and I go a long way back. We used to tie red ribbons around our wrists until our hands turned blue.

From the Heart
Sincerest apologies to our loved ones who were gonna head down to Lorne for the much hyped, then cancelled, "Coaster does Kosta's" gig on sunday night 26/5. We're very disappointed at the outcome...we only discovered the day before that they wanted us to play for 4 hours...and it just wasn't gonna work. So we're all looking forward to the upcoming gig at the Esplanade Hotel! Much fun will be had. Check our GIGS section for more info on that, and more info on more.
Thanks to everyone for supporting Coaster in 2002. We couldn't have had so much fun without u guys. Coaster will be back in 2003 hope to c all u guys at gigs next year!!
